"Firstly, apologies for how long it took to write this testimonial. In no way is it a reflection on the service and experience I received from Daniel, which was absolutely first class. His knowledge of diamonds, and step by step instruction on selecting a stone was amazing. The previous 3 months of walking up and down the high street looking for something in my price range and of good quality was exhausting. In 3 hours Daniel did what High St jewellers couldn't do in 3 months. My brief was simple, one princess cut stone, gold band, and what we ended up putting together was exactly what I imagined, and what I was searching for on the High St but couldn't find.

"One of my friends gave me Daniel's details whilst trying to find a reputable diamond merchant to help me make a diamond engagement ring for my girlfriend. My friend did say not to be taken aback by Daniel's forthright approach; simply that he takes what he does seriously and his intention is to ensure you get what you (and more importantly, your fiance) wants in a ring.

Having done some research into diamonds, I knew I needed to see what the differences were between the various methods of classifying diamonds (how does F colour differ from G? How does VVS2 differ from VS1? Is 1 carat really necessary, or is 0.9ct just as sizeable?)

I rang Daniel, explained my situation, and he said straight out: "I don't have time if you're not a serious buyer. Are you ready to buy?" I reiterated that I could afford to, but didn't want to feel forced to buy if I wasn't happy with the service. That's when he explained that he would spend as much time educating me about diamonds as needed.

Once I turned up for the appointment, I found Daniel to be quite friendly and he spent more than an hour showing me the differences between the diamond grades. In the end, I picked out a firery 0.80ct round diamond and then picked out the white gold ring - it was set and ready to pick up the next day. Never once did he pressure me into a sale; in fact, I didn't even pick out the biggest or most expensive diamond that I wanted to view.

I recommend Daniel to anyone and everyone seeking to purchase diamonds for any occasion. He is upfront and honest and is sensitive to even the most uneducated diamond purchaser! My advice, decide on a style, pick out the diamonds you can afford and wish to view and go in with a very open mind. I got the "yes" I was hoping for, my fiance loves her ring and the fact that, not only did I choose it without any input from her, but that I had it custom-made and that the diamond is certified.
